Genevieve Daniels concentrates her practice in a wide variety of commercial, employment and real estate litigation and transactional matters.
As both a litigator and transactional attorney, Genevieve is uniquely positioned to counsel transactional clients with the benefits of a litigator’s perspective and to litigate with experience and understanding on how documents underlying such disputes are negotiated and drafted. She is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic legal partner and advocate who enables her clients to achieve their objectives and safeguard their interests. REAL ESTATE

In her real estate practice, Genevieve advises and represents a wide range of commercial and residential clients, including investors, entrepreneurs, developers, business owners, property managers, condominium and homeowners’ associations, and individual owners. Genevieve’s transactional experience covers all aspects of real estate acquisition, disposition, development, use and management. She also handles all manner of litigation related to real estate, including contractual disputes arising from the sale or purchase of real estate, actions to quiet title, landlord-tenant suits, mechanic’s lien claims, alleged municipal or governmental violations, tax deed proceedings, and other litigation regarding the ownership and use of real property. 

EMPLOYMENT

In her employment practice, Genevieve advises and represents business owners and human resource managers on all aspects relating to personnel and human resources management, including the hiring, firing, and discipline of employees, the creation and review of employee handbooks and other workplace policies, matters relating to wage payment, disability and leave, and compliance with federal, state and local employment-related laws. Genevieve assists clients in conducting internal investigations of alleged harassment, discrimination, retaliation and employee misconduct. She also drafts employment and executive compensation contracts, as well as agreements involving vendors, independent contractors, and severance, confidentiality, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements.

Genevieve regularly presents seminars and presentations to business owners and real estate professionals on legal developments, trends, and practical advice. She is an active supporter of the arts and has served on the board of directors of several Chicago-based arts organizations, including Remy Bumppo Theatre Company. She is a committed Francophile and enjoys exploring her heritage’s Persian cooking, and adventure travel.
